Newport is the project of singer, songwriter and producer Dylon Newport. Influenced by modern-alternative pop, soul and hip-hop, he has quickly found an audience for his unique brand of sun-soaked pop, earning over 1 million global streams.

In 2022, Newport signed to Liberation Records and Mushroom Music Publishing, releasing popular singles ‘Understand’ and ‘Two Friends’. His music has garnered strong streaming support, including a Spotify Fresh Finds AU&NZ cover and adds to Fresh Finds US + Fresh Finds Pop, YouTube Music Alt-Pop cover, and #2 spot in Apple Music’s Superbloom. This streaming success has been backed up by adds to triple j and triple j Unearthed and airplay on Maddy Rowe’s national Nova Aus Music Show. 

Following an outstanding debut at BIGSOUND in 2022, Newport’s electric live show saw him recently billed alongside fellow WA locals Scarlet Drive, Tobias Lanes & Clauds, supporting the likes of Mitch Santiago at his sold-out Rosemount show, as well as Tyne James Organ and Death by Denim in Adelaide. In celebration of his debut EP release, Newport played his first headline show to a sold out hometown audience in Perth. Now, he is taking his show inter-state for his first tour along the east-coast this May.
